The actor Superior Ranganath no more. 66-year-old Ranganath was found dead in his house in Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad. Police have booked the case as a suspicious death when he was found with a rope around his neck. It was an apparent suicide, police say. Hyderabad police are investigating the case.
Born in 1949 in Madras, Ranganath began his career as a small artist Buddimanthudu starring ANR in 1969. He had the opportunity to play a major role in Chandana in 1974 and soon became the most sought after hero out of the movies common in the decade of 70. Some of his most memorable hits include hero include Panthulamma, Intinti Ramayanam, Zamindarugari Ammayi, Devatalara Deevinchandi, America Ammayi, Andame Anandam, Palle Seema, Rama Chiluka, Ee charitra Ye Siratho, Ee Chaduvulu Makoddu, etc.
